The final conference of the DI-MARC project (Digital Marketing Capacity Building – Empowering Persons with Physical Disabilities for Remote Work) for Montenegro was held on 09 September 2025 at the Creative Hub in Kotor. The event was dedicated to presenting the project’s results and to the official awarding of certificates to participants from Montenegro who successfully completed the online training in digital marketing.
The conference was opened by the Mayor of Kotor, Vladimir Jokić, within the segment Project Initiatives for an Inclusive Digital Future. He emphasized that such initiatives demonstrate the direction of local government development, highlighting the importance of Kotor as a reliable partner in the process of empowering and strengthening the capacities of persons with disabilities.
Marina Vujačić, Executive Director of the Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro, spoke about the importance of employment and work-related competencies. She underlined that changing perceptions remains crucial and that it is essential to further develop the capacities of persons with disabilities in line with their areas of interest.
Zorica Karavidić, on behalf of the project partner Regional Agency for Development and European Integration Belgrade (RADEI), spoke about the importance of reaffirming the inclusiveness of the digital future. Highlighting the role of RADEI as the lead institution for Work Package 4 of the DI-MARC project, Karavidić presented the overall results to the audience, emphasized the relevance of the project concept, and reminded participants of the significant effort, dedication, and joint work invested by the partners in designing the curriculum, preparing comprehensive training materials, and developing a modern online learning platform. She particularly underlined that these resources remain as a lasting value of the project and a foundation for the further development of an inclusive digital society.
In the second segment of the conference, dedicated to Montenegro’s role in the DI-MARC team, contributions were made by Milica Tomović (Municipality of Kotor), Anđela Đokić (MAMM d.o.o.), and Aleksandra Pavićević (UMHCG).Tomović highlighted the importance of partnership, which, beyond professional cooperation, fostered mutual trust and joint efforts to overcome challenges—ensuring that each success was further appreciated and built upon. Đokić emphasized that the digital empowerment and business ideas developed by participants clearly demonstrate the project’s long-term benefits, as the acquired knowledge and skills have already been recognized as drivers of new business opportunities and innovative initiatives. Pavićević underlined the importance of ensuring equality between offline and online learning, pointing out that every segment of the training was backed by significant effort to motivate and support participants. She stressed that this dedication and inclusiveness have delivered tangible results and created new value for the community.
A special part of the event was dedicated to the DI-MARC Edu platform and the experiences of the participants. Kristina Kustudić and Željko Miličić shared their impressions from the online training, highlighting the platform’s ease of use, the value of the materials provided, and the practical applicability of the knowledge gained.
The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to a group of participants of the online training. The project, implemented over a two-year period, is entering its final stage, with the closing conference scheduled for 25 September in Belgrade, Serbia, organized by the lead partner, the Institute of Economic Sciences.
