Members of the DI-MARC team, Dr. Valentina Vukmirović, and Dr. Milena Lazić, participated
in the third PROFEEDBACK training school “Introduction to Qualitative and Participatory
Methods,” organized by the Institute of Economic Sciences (IES) and the Hetfa Research
Institute from Budapest. The training schools are designed to provide intensive theoretical
and practical training, focusing on current topics in policy evaluation, especially for young
researchers.

The three-day training school was held from July 9 to 11, 2024, at IES and is a result of the
COST Action CA20112 – PROFEEDBACK (PlatfoRm OF policy Evaluation community for
improvED EU policies and Better ACKnowledgement). This action aims to foster the
networking of the policy evaluation community at the EU level, raise awareness of the
importance of evaluation policy research, and improve its impact on policy-making.
The lecturers at this training school were Sari Rannanpaa, an expert in EU policy evaluation
from NordEval Oy, Finland, Dr. Olha Krasovska from the Ukrainian Evaluation Association,
and Dr. Marijana Sumpor from the Croatian Evaluation Network. The training school was
attended by participants from Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania,
and Georgia.
