An event titled „Incentives and Benefits for Employment of Persons with Disabilities“ was organized by the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP) – Regional Office Osijek, the Office of the Ombudsperson for Persons with Disabilites Regional Office Osijek, the Croatian Employment Service Regional Office Osijek, the Center for Vocational Rehabilitation and the Centre for Entrepreneurship Osijek.
Despite numerous incentive measures for employers employing persons with disabilities and the normative framework governing the rights of persons with disabilities in the labour market, persons with disabilities are still not equally represented on the open labour market and are daily victims of discrimination at all stages of employment, but also during the exercise of employment rights. With the aim of promoting cooperation aimed at equalizing the possibilities of persons with disabilities in the labour market, relevant stakeholders and employers from Eastern Croatia gathered to encourage more intensive employment of persons with disabilities.


Centre for Entrepreneurship as one of the project partners: Digital marketing capacity building – Empowering persons with physical Disabilities for Remote work” DI-MARC presented and promoted project and project activities with special emphasis on the application of digital technologies in order to improve inclusion, i.e. to improve digital marketing of the competences of persons with disabilities for remote work. Remote work creates an exceptional employment potential for people with disabilities, however, the key challenges they face are partial or total exclusion from the labour market and the lack of digital competences necessary for employment, both in the traditional labour market and on digital platforms for remote work.
