Research on the level of digital marketing competencies of PWDs in Serbia

The Association of Persons with Disabilities “Belgrade”, during March and April 2024, as part of the DI-MARC project, an international scientific project aimed at empowering individuals with physical disabilities for remote work through enhancing competencies in the field of digital marketing, conducted a self-assessment survey of digital marketing competencies, as well as the actual digital marketing skills of individuals with physical disabilities in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

For this purpose, questionnaires were created for research purposes, with questions designed to determine the level of self-assessment of competencies and existing knowledge in the field of digital marketing among individuals with physical disabilities. This will serve as the basis for creating educational programs aimed at empowering individuals with disabilities in the field of digital marketing for remote work. The research was conducted online, with questionnaires distributed to respondents’ personal email addresses.

With the aim of promoting the project and informing and motivating both the target group – individuals with physical disabilities – and the general public to participate in the research, members of the DI-MARC project team representing the Association of Persons with Disabilities “Belgrade” (APD Belgrade) – Gordana Pušara and Snežana Dašić, organized several meetings with representatives of associations and organizations from the territory of Serbia, representatives of public administration and local government units, as well as the National Employment Service from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Leskovac, Užice, Ćuprija, and Sokobanja.

From the territory of the Republic of Serbia, 183 individuals with physical disabilities participated in the research.
