DI-MARC was presented to the delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Republic of Serbia

On April 3, the delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, headed by Minister Jelena Begović, paid a working visit to the Institute of Economic Sciences (DI-MARC Project Coordinator). The visit was part of the Ministry’s broader plan to visit institutes in the Republic of Serbia in order to familiarize themselves with plans, vision and goals for the future, but also with possible problems in the functioning of scientific and research organizations. During the visit, meetings of the delegation of the Ministry were organized with the management of the Institute headed by the Director Dr Jovan Zubović, with researchers, the Scientific Council and the Board of Directors.

Minister Jelena Begović pointed out that the Institute of Economic Sciences is very important for the development of Serbia, as it not only achieves very good scientific results, but also deals with innovation, digitization and the implementation of modern technologies, which is extremely important for improving Serbia’s competitiveness.

In addition to a variety of analyzed topics that are important for the business and development of the Institute of Economic Sciences, the delegation of the Ministry was also familiarized with the concept and activities of the DI-MARC project, which is led by the Department of Digital Economics. In addition, DI-MARC project is apostrophized as the greatest success of the Institute of Economic Sciences in its work so far, as it is the only European project in the field of social sciences led by a scientific and research organization from Serbia (Institute of Economic Sciences from Belgrade), while the consortium consists of 10 international partners.

The DI-MARC project was approved under the highly competitive ESF-2022-SOC-INNOV call of the European Social Fund plus (ESF+) and was awarded 96/100 points by the European Commission evaluators. This is one of the highest scores for projects in the field of social sciences from Serbia received under programs funded by the European Commission.

We are very proud of our Institute of Economic Sciences,DI-MARC project and the entire international DI-MARC team!
