In Belgrade, on May 29, 2024, the Andragora – Symposium on Current Research in Adult Education was held, organized by the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Institute of Pedagogy and Andragogy, the Serbian Andragogy Society, and the Adult Education Society.
The symposium was organized as part of the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the Department of Andragogy at the Faculty of Philosophy. During the event, participants had the opportunity to present the results of their research, exchange ideas and experiences, and discuss current topics and innovations in the field of adult education. The symposium was conceived as a platform to promote collaboration among scholars, researchers, and practitioners, with the aim of improving practices and theories in the field of adult education.
Ljiljana Marković, a member of the DI-MARC project team representing the Regional Development and European Integration Agency Belgrade, presented the project with a special focus on the research conducted in the previous period. During the presentation, the importance of project segments was emphasized, including the analysis of remote work platforms and their requirements in the field of digital marketing, the development of a methodology for assessing the level of skills and competencies of people with physical disabilities in digital marketing, as well as the identification of the gap between their skills and the demands of the job market. Additionally, the significance of implementing activities in the upcoming period of DI-MARC project implementation was highlighted, with a focus on curriculum development and evaluating the achievements of individuals with disabilities upon completion of the program.
At the Symposium, it was emphasized that activities within the DI-MARC project represent a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and empowering individuals with disabilities by providing them with the opportunity to develop valuable skills in digital marketing and enhance their access to employment in the digital economy.
